Semester Payment:
18 half hr lessons plus 6 hours of group classes =
(Three teacher sick days not included making it possibly 16 lessons.
see below. Teacher sick days are in case of me being ill and unable to teach or
inclement weather. Also, please remember that ALOT of work goes into making
the spring recital a big event as well as all of the extra activities planned for this
semester. PLEASE read these pages carefully!)
$475 plus $25 studio fee = $500 for semester
(due by December 28th to reserve and guarantee lesson time - STRICT Rule)

April payment - $100 due week of March 26th - 29th
May payment - $100 due week of April 23rd-26th
Summer payment is due by May 11th.
Summer Activities to start thinking about:
There will also be summer flute camps this summer to participate in as well as
area band camps. There are many close by and far aways. Let me know if you
are interested! If you are interested in traveling to the National Flute Convention in Orlando,
Florida in August, please let me know.

15th and April 10th because I will be performing with the Jackson Symphony.

Group Lessons Schedule:
Suzuki, Middle School, and High School -
We will also not have a group class in March due to varying spring breaks.
Time is TBA but will probably be 6:30 or 7 PM. We will be working on a performance
project this semester that will include ALL levels of students at once. It is extremely
important that all students come to every group class. I would like to perform our
“project” on the spring recital.
These 6 group classes = 3 teacher sick days to be used throughout
the semester as I may need. Group classes are part of private lessons for everyone.
They are a great way for students to interact regularly and do activities that private
lesson time does not allow. If you are unable to make the group classes there is no
refund. Please try to mark these 6 dates/times on your schedule. (However, if I see
there is a major conflict with one I will let you know of any changes.) We will also be
working on music for the Spring performance. (I am adding a group class this spring
since we are starting the second full week of January due to how the calendar falls. So
there will actually be 7 scheduled group classes.)

Group Class #2 - Mon., Feb. 26th (Hernando); Tues., Feb. 27th (Mullins) ALL

Group Class #4 - Mon., April 23rd (Hernando); Tues., April 24th (Mullins) Group ALL
Class - #5/6 - Dress Rehearsal w/ pianist for Spring Recital - TBA
Group Class #7 - Spring Recital - TBA - I will have these details in January.

ALOT of fantastic flute events this semester!
Remember if you want to become a good flutist you MUST listen to
good flute players!
1) Memphis Symphony Principal Flutist Karen Bussler will be performing the
Mozart Concerto on Sun., February 18th. I will be trying to get a group or
student rate tickets for those that would like to attend. Karen Bussler will be
retiring after this season. She has been the principal flutist for well over 30
years.
2) Jennifer Whitehead Solo Recital- Please come support me
on Tues., April 10th at 7 PM at Northwest Mississippi Community College in
Senatobia, MS. The concert is free and should last about
an hour. You will all enjoy this music! It would mean A GREAT DEAL to me
to have all of my students and families there for this performance! So
PLEASE mark it on your calendars!
3) Mid-South Flute Festival - Fri.-Sat., April 6-7th
at Middle TN State University with guest artist - Bart Feller

4) There are a few other possible things that will be added soon. We were asked
to play at the Cooper Young Garden Walk, but I do not have details at this
time. Also, Claudia Moore’s masterclass that was suppose to be in
December may be rescheduled for later in the spring semester.
